New house price research released by Rics
At least that is one of the findings from the most recent research from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics).
The organisation's survey found that 60 per cent of chartered surveyors think that the gap between asking and selling prices is narrowing.
People with mortgages for professionals may wish to consider this trend during the property bidding process.
Brigid O'Leary, senior economist at Rics, said: "The improvement in sentiment that has been captured in recent housing market surveys is reflected in a narrowing in the gap between asking and selling prices."
Rics has recently welcomed news from both Halifax and Nationwide Building Society that property prices in the UK appear to be on the rise.
However, the group has continually reiterated there is a long way to go until it can be stated that the property market has made a full recovery.
