Mortgage firms receive ‘five-star prizes’
Held at the National History Museum in London in front of 650 industry officials, the awards hailed firms which have excelled in delivering quality services to their independent financial adviser (IFA) clients, reports the Financial Times.
The HBOS group dominated the mortgage providers and packagers category, with Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Halifax, Bristol & West and Intelligent Finance all scooping five-star prizes.
In the investment category, Scottish Widows and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership featured among the five-star winners.
Protection specialist at Essex-based IFA firm CBK Peter Chadbourn said: "It is no exaggeration to say these awards have become the industry benchmark for service standards."
Meanwhile, lenders have this week agreed to wait three months before they start repossession proceedings to help homeowners who have fallen into arrears on their mortgages.
