Quality of life rises with house prices
In 27 of the 30 local authorities rated top for quality of life, house prices trade at a premium to the average across the region, it has been revealed.
Research conducted by Halifax Estate Agents also found that the average for this premium was around £78,000 or 30 per cent.
South Buckinghamshire, which has the second highest quality of life, also has the highest average house price at £576,075 at a premium of £293,165 above the regional average.
This is the highest average house price and premium outside of London, where the borough of Kensington and Chelsea tops the charts with an average price of £762,117 and premium of £398,372.
However, the best value for money in London is Bromley, which rates top on the London boroughs quality of life list with an average house price of £321,886 at a discount of £41,859 on the average London house price.
